Singer/songwriter Marybeth Mattson first took to the stage as a performance poet in college. Moving home to Door County, WI after graduation, Marybeth began singing with folk musician Jeanne Kuhns before beginning to write and perform her own songs, solo at first, and later with Seth Raddatz and her band Small Forest.

"Cutting her musical teeth at open mics throughout Door County, Marybeth has developed her own sound and performs with confidence and an undeniable charm. With lyrics that are both poetic and deliberate, Marybeth offers a new twist on the folk genre as she enchants listeners with level and lovely vocals. She plays with passion and honesty in a style that has been called Folk-Pop by local fans."

The artists recorded on "Relative Hunger," Marybeth's first album, have been dubbed Mb's Hijacked Band: Seth Raddatz (lead and slide guitar/backing vocals); Dan Smrz (percussion); Anna Sacks (guest backing vocals) and Patrick Palmer (bass).

Marybeth's band Small Forest released their first album "DREAM" in 2015. Recorded at Studio 330 in Sturgeon Bay, WI and co-produced by the band and Hans Christian, dream features original songs by both Jeanne Kuhns and Marybeth Mattson with bass by Patrick Palmer. Small Forest welcomed guest musicians Tommy Burroughs, Seth Raddatz, Dave Walker, George Sawyn, Tony Dale, and Hans Christian playing guitar, electric guitar, percussion, fiddle, mandolin, and cello.
